Tuesday, October 06, 2009 True Love, Always Girls -- powered by http://www.magicrpm.com I have spoken many times over the years on my great love for Daniel Johnston, and in particular his absolutely tremendous song "True Love Will Find You In The End" off 1990, which is my second favorite DJ song after the kill-me-til-i'm-dead "Some Things Last A Long Time", which I love pretty much more than anything in the world. I have also recently spoken about my great love for the marvelous San Francisco band Girls, and now, lo and behold, here cometh a nice little acoustic cover of "True Love" by Girls frontman Christopher Owens. Truthfully it's not as good as Beck's version (w0w), but it's still really great and if I'd been at a show where they played it I would have lost myself in a sea of uncontrollable happy bowel movements.
