Montauk 2009: Ninety-Nine And A Half Just Won't Do

Me, happy, after 112 miles of riding

Got to have 100. Or 118, to be exact (106 miles from Babylon to Montauk, plus 12 miles to and from Penn Station).

Here's some photos my amigo Mike took to recap our trip last Sunday during the Montauk Century that we rode.

As you can see it was pretty dark and kind of bleak for much of the day. But also definitely fun and hollatastic with victory. I ain't complaining. At least I didn't get a sunburn.

This was one of the bleakest stretches, with rain and winds that I heard were up to 40mph (me up in yellow)

It definitely rained... for about four or five hours. Me again, up ahead

Resting during one of our handful of stops. Love the graffitti on the bathroom here.

This photo was taken shortly after the rain stopped, the sun came out, and I took my yellow jacket off while riding (without stopping) to celebrate the mock-warmth

Mike, after finishing his 112

Yep. Jeffrey Beaumont, out.
