Thursday, May 28, 2009 Happy Birthday, Ben D Sunday was Ben D's birthday and yesterday we celebrated with mouthwatering BBQ at Williamsburg's Fette Sau. In the spirit of brotherly love, this is the "blue velvet" cake I made him (with help of course from Lil' Beau) for the party:  Photo from Ben D's Photo-of-the-Moment microblog Unfortunately I didn't use enough blue food coloring so the cake came out a lot more blue-green than blue, but I think it was still a cake unlike any the group had eaten before.
