It's A Nice Day For A Bike Wedding?

Someday I will marry a Starbucks-loving nurse...erm?

So the weather is still great (two more days) and I am about ready to head home and enjoy the rest of the day.

I am contemplating going for a quick spin around Prospect Park tonight, but I'm still pretty sore from a longer ride on Saturday. To be honest, I've been pretty sore a lot lately, and feeling like I'm not "recovering" as quickly as I think I should be. I realize this may because mostly a confused brain has been expecting my body to work as efficiently as it did the last time I worked out this hard (when I was, ahem, 17) .As i'm still relatively new to the world of intensive biking-for-life, I decided to go to Google to look up "what to do after a long bike ride?" to try and see if there are any things I should specifically be doing to help recuperate after I've pushed my body to the limits.

The existence of this page--especially given its authorship not by wikifolks but by the "eHow Weddings Editor"--flabbergasts me. It includes such helpful advice as:
Step 1: Be sure a long bike ride is the right time to propose. If your girlfriend is more New York City than Green Acres, you may need to rethink your plan
And
Step 6: Confirm that the day you have chosen is convenient with your girlfriend. If not, reschedule your bike ride.
Wow. Yes. Ok. Life is weird.

And....
