Slang is the new Slang.

Welcome to the new design of Slang Editorial, you like? We thought it really brings out the spring tones of your new, just in time for the season wardrobe. If you find yourself missing the old design, aching for those good old days, dig through the archives. I haven't figured out an easy way to change the design on those just yet. All being so, blast away in the new drop down comments. I'm like a child in the candy store with this web design stuff. "Ooooo, multi-colored backgrounds! A style sheet! Ooooo!" Also, if you look hard, you'll find some blood from under my fingernails along the borders of the sites. What a bitch carving those were, let me tell you.

Speaking only for myself, as is the style 'round these parts, and I mean this seriously, next to antibiotics, sewage systems, and penicillin, the internet is the greatest invention of the last 1,000 years. Information, the most important set being ideas, has never been so easy to share. Our country was founded on a set of ideas, and the farther we move away from them, the more dangerous the future becomes. I hope the internet becomes a place where the "marketplace of ideas" lives up to its full potential, as opposed to allowing our most vile and antagonistic tendancies overrun and block out our better natures where those founding principles first found root.

OK, idealism off. Enjoy the new site design.

I like it. What I don't like is the writers. Is there any way that we can substitute Dave Eggers for Doorknobs, Foster Wallace for Ezruh, and, say, James Frey for Nihilist? I say that only because both Nihilist and Frey have one thing in common: being fucking awesome. Think about it, shout back. -Autistic Basketball Genius
